Donald Anderson D.C.

I grew up in northwestern Minnesota. I did not come from a chiropractic family but I was introduced to the field when my mom experienced severe low back problems. She was scheduled to undergo surgery to relieve her extreme sciatic pain and leg weakness when a friend talked her into trying chiropractic. She went for extensive care and made a full recovery. I was quite young at the time and went with her to many visits. I witnessed first hand the tremendous results and decided at the age of twelve to become a chiropractor. Little did I know that this small decision would lead to the work I am involved in now.

After high school, I attended Moorhead State University, Moorhead, MN., for my undergraduate studies and then went to Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, MN, graduating in 1989. While attending Northwestern, I received training in Meridian Therapy (acupuncture) and did extensive study in the technique of Applied Kinesiology.

In the course of my work I became increasingly interested in nutrition and its affects on the healing process. I was able to work with another chiropractor to formulate herbal supplements for a nutritional company and I have taught many practitioners in the United States and England in nutritional support. I formulate herbal tinctures for use in my practice in Colorado. I continue to improve on my formulas as needed.

Seeing the success in my clinic has led me to want to help more people. I have seen the body do amazing things and have been privileged to be a part of many changed lives. I believe I have created a product that actually works. I feel I have been given a gift, an opportunity to reach others and share my knowledge and my passion for helping people get well.

My desire is to educate, assist, and empower people. I want people to really know their own bodies and begin listening to and understanding the processes of their own systems, so they can achieve and maintain their health naturally. My goal is to give people tools to enhance their lifestyle and an approach to healing that they are not getting anywhere else!

I have been married to my wife, Karla, since 1988 and we have three wonderful boys. I am currently the worship leader at SouthGate Church. I enjoy music, basketball, golf, and spending precious time with my family.family.

Lesley Anderson N.D.

Hi my name is Lesley Anderson and I want to tell you my story and why I believe in Herbs of Hope.

My journey began over 30 years ago as a young girl. I suffered all the usual childhood illnesses such as measles, mumps, chickenpox, tonsillitis, and by age 12 I became severely asthmatic. That was the beginning of a long journey of making the trips to the medical doctors and taking one prescription after another. I have taken a myriad of medicines for a dozen different conditions. I have suffered physically, mentally and financially because of the toll these medicines took on my body.

One issue led to another and each medicine gave rise to further symptoms and side-effects. One thing for certain was that if I kept taking the medicines I was not going to get better.

When I first stepped into Dr. Anderson’s office, I had been crying uncontrollably for hours. I had hit rock bottom and felt like my life was hopeless. I couldn’t take care of my home, my husband or my kids. There had to be a better way. Dr. Anderson gave me hope. He didn’t promise me a quick fix but for the first time in many years, I was told that my pain was real and I wasn’t going crazy.

After a short time I came to work for Dr. Anderson in his clinic in Fort Collins and began to learn how to nutritionally support the body and aid its built in healing processes.

I have now been working in the clinic for over 3 years and when we began to explore the possibility helping people in other countries, the name Herbs of Hope seemed to be the most obvious choice. I believe foremost that God inspired me to create the name. Like I mentioned above, I was hopeless until I came to the clinic and began treatment. Secondly, I believe that all people need hope. Immune Support is nutritional support for the body and gives it the tools needed to do it own job or restoring and repairing.

Psalm 139:14 says “I will give thanks to you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made”.

We are designed and created by God and so if there is a designer, it follows that there must be design! What a concept! What if we went back to the blueprints that God designed and tried to support our bodies according to its requirements. God designed us to need certain nutritional requirements in order for us to function properly. We can “get by”, sometimes for years, on poor nutrition and bad lifestyle choices, but eventually we break down and hit a health crisis where our bodies can’t recover adequately. Constantly ignoring the warning signs will lead to bigger problems later on. The problem with our bodies is that the “repairs” are especially costly to our body when you start to remove certain parts surgically to try to fix the problem. We can live without certain parts but we were designed to use all of them. Every part of our body has a specific function and when you remove a part the burden is heightened in the other organs to pick up the slack.

I have had several surgeries and taken many medicines. All they did was cover up the real issues in my body, never addressing the cause or giving me anything to rebuild the damage of sickness and disease. Taking nutritional supplements has changed my life. I went from not being able to get out of bed and have a job, to working full time. I went from 13 prescription medicines to none. I am proof that when we give the body what it truly needs, it will thrive.

The Herbs of Hope Immune Support has been specifically formulated to meet the needs of those suffering from sickness and disease. My hope is that many will use this formula and improve the quality of life that they have.

I have been married to my husband Jim for 22 years and we have two wonderful children. I am a member of the Worship Team at SouthGate Church and currently help facilitate a teen discipleship program. I am British, but have lived in the United States for most of the past 22 years.

I have completed my degree for the ND (Doctor of Naturopathy) program from Trinity College of Natural Health (Summer 2008) and am currently a CNHP. (Certified Natural Health Professional). I love to sing, write lyrics and poetry.
